Kilimanjaro’s Most Dramatic & Scenic Route
The Machame Route, known as the “Whiskey Route” (compared to the easier “Coca‑Cola” Marangu), is the most popular and scenic path on Kilimanjaro. It offers stunning vistas, diverse ecosystems, and a true wilderness experience – all while providing excellent acclimatization through its “climb high, sleep low” profile.
This route is perfect for adventurers who want to experience the full beauty of Kilimanjaro: from lush rainforest to the famous Barranco Wall, the alien landscape of the Shira Plateau, and the breathtaking views from the summit. The 7‑day itinerary includes an extra acclimatization day, boosting success rates to around 88%.
