09:00 hrs: You will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi by your guide and driver. Transfer to Olpopongi Maasai Village: Enjoy a scenic approximately 1.5-hour drive from Moshi to the Olpopongi Maasai Village, located in West Kilimanjaro. Guided Village and Museum Tour: Upon arrival at the village, you will embark on a guided tour of the Maasai village. Your guide will explain the layout of the village, the significance of the traditional houses (Manyattas), and the daily life of the Maasai people. You will also visit the village museum to gain further insights into their rich cultural heritage, customs, and history. Walking Safari: Participate in a short walking safari around the village. During this walk, you will learn about traditional Maasai hunting techniques, the tools they use, and their deep understanding of the local flora and fauna for medicinal purposes. Your guide will point out various plants and explain their traditional uses. Traditional Maasai Lunch: In the afternoon, you will be treated to a traditional Maasai lunch, providing an opportunity to savor authentic local cuisine.
