Trip Itinerary
Arrival in Tanzania, our staff will pick you up at Kilimanjaro international Airport and transfer to Arusha where you will have overnight at African Tulip hotel in Arusha. On your arrival at the hotel you will be given briefing about your Safari with your Driver guide or Office representative.
After breakfast the driver guide will drive from the hotel to Tarangire National Park, 4 hours drive from Arusha to Tarangire, Tarangire is the third largest National park and sanctuary for an usually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are interested of the park; dwarf the animals that feed beneath them.
Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, and up six thousand elephant.
After breakfast you start you way to Serengeti National Park. A picnic Lunch will be provided. On your way you wall stop at the Olduvai Gorge where the anthropologists Lois and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originate in Africa.
After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive.
You will leave early in the morning after breakfast for a full day game viewing. You will spend the day following the great migration of the wildebeests and Zebras. This is where you will witness the wildebeest’s migration crossing River Mara as seen on TV in the Discovery Channel The Migration normally passes through this area from Late May to early July, the herds do cross the Grumeti River however its is important to note this is not the spectacular river crossings, these happen later in the year in the North of the Serengeti in the Kogatende area . The majestic landscape of the northern Serengeti is one of the best kept secrets of African safaris. Far from the tourists track, the area offers undisturbed exploration of the fantastic Serengeti. Endless rolling plains and riverine woodlands are home to Lion, Leopards, Cheetahs, Elephants, large herds of antelopes and many other animals. The stunning Mara River filled with Hippos and Crocodiles, cuts through this land and hosts of the greatest spectacles nature has to offer. In the evening you will return to your overnight.
Early morning game drive to see nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light in the morning. After breakfast continue game drive, on your way to Naabi Hill Gate and towards Ngorongoro conservation area
After breakfast you will descent into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with picnic lunch) within Ngorongoro Crater on world Heritage site holding a permanent population of more than 30,000 animals. As only very few of those migrate in and out of crater with its 2000 ft, high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. The crater is also home of the rare black rhino almost extinct in Tanzania. With a bit of luck you will see the “Big Five” during the game drive and later will drive to Arusha.
